In December 2014 139 homes sold in the Lake Norman area, an 18.8% increase from the 117 homes sold in November. December 2014 sales figures increased 28.7% from December 2013 when 108 homes sold in the Lake Norman area. December 2014 sales were the highest for December since 2006 when 139 Lake Norman homes sold!
The average sales price increased .3% from $439,579 in November to $440,924 in December. The December 2014 average sales price decreased 8.3% from the December 2013 average sales price which was $480,781.
Average days on the market decreased 23.6% from 106 days in November to 81 days on the market in December. December 2013 average days on the market were 113, a 23% decrease in market time.
Currently there are 844 homes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, down 5.1% from November. The average list price is $639,649 down 5.8% from the November average list price of $679,196. The average days on the market are 193. 192 Lake Norman homes are currently under contract, up 1.6% from November.

Lake Norman Condos & Townhomes
In December 2014 11 condos/townhomes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 57.7% decrease from the 26 condos or townhomes sold in November 2014. December 2014 sales figures decreased 35.3% from December 2013 when 17 Lake Norman condos sold.
The average sales price increased 12% from $230,204 in November 2014 to $257,660 in December 2014. December 2014 average sales price increased 56.1% from the December 2013 average sales price which was $165,049.
Average days on the market decreased 19.5% from 77 in November to 62 in December. December 2013 average days on the market were 92, a 32.6% decrease in market time.
Currently there are 93 condo/townhomes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area,a 11.4% decrease from the 105 condos for sale in November. The average list price is $216,122, down 6.9% from November’s average list price of $232,126. The average days on the market are 125. 20 Lake Norman condos/townhomes are currently under contract, a 33% increase from November.

In December 2014 25 lots sold in the Lake Norman area, a 25% increase from the 20 lots sold in November. December 2014 sales figures decreased 7.4% from December 2013 when 27 Lake Norman lots sold.
The average sales price increased 14.8% from $169,706 in November to $194,800 in December. December 2014 average sales price increased 173% from the December 2013 average sales price which was $71,365.
Average days on the market increased 107.9% from 127 in November to 264 in December. December 2013 average days on the market were 283, a 6.7% decrease in market time versus the same time period last year.
Currently there are 638 lots for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, an decrease of 9.9% from November. The average list price is $249,620, down .2% from November’s average list price of $250,160. The average days on the market are 480. 50 Lake Norman area lots are currently under contract, a 11.1% increase from November.
