In January 2015 77 homes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 44.6% decrease from the 139 homes sold in December. The January 2015 sales figures decreased 6.1% from January 2014 when 81 homes sold in the Lake Norman area.
The average sales price decreased .6% from $440,924 in December to $438,343 in January. The January 2015 average sales price increased 1.1% from the January 2014 average sales price which was $433,560.
Average days on the market increased 16% from 87 days on the market in December to 101 days on the market in January. January 2014 average days on the market were 136, a 25.7% decrease in market time.
Currently there are 871 homes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, up 3.2% from December. The average list price is $677,120 up 5.9% from the December average list price of $639,649. The average days on the market are 206. 255 Lake Norman homes are currently under contract, up 32.8% from December.

Lake Norman Condos & Townhomes
In January 2015 9 condos/townhomes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 18.2% decrease from the 11 condos or townhomes sold in December 2014. January 2015 sales figures decreased 25% from January 2014 when 12 Lake Norman condos sold.
The average sales price decreased 6% from $257,660 in December 2014 to $242,167 in January 2015. The January 2015 average sales price increased 21.6% from the January 2014 average sales price which was $199,096.
Average days on the market increased 174% from 62 in December to 170 in January. January 2014 average days on the market were 133, a 27.8% increase in market time.
Currently there are 82 condo/townhomes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area,a 11.8% decrease from the 93 condos for sale in December. The average list price is $235,768, up 9.1% from December’s average list price of $216,122. The average days on the market are 129. 37 Lake Norman condos/townhomes are currently under contract, a 85% increase from December.

Lake Norman Lots
In January 2015 29 lots sold in the Lake Norman area, a 16% increase from the 25 lots sold in December. January 2015 sales figures increased 61.1% from January 2014 when 18 Lake Norman lots sold.
The average sales price increased 5.1% from $194,800 in December to $204,643 in January. The January 2015 average sales price increased 34.1% from the January 2014 average sales price which was $152,556.
Average days on the market decreased 2.3% from 264 in December to 258 in January. The January 2014 average days on the market were 206, a 25.2% increase in market time versus the same time period last year.
Currently there are 672 lots for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, an increase of 5.3% from December. The average list price is $244,161, down 2.2% from December’s average list price of $249,620. The average days on the market are 490. 37 Lake Norman area lots are currently under contract, a 26% decrease from December.
