In September 2015 163 homes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 6.3% decrease from the 174 homes sold in August and the highest September sales total since September 2005. The September 2015 sales figures increased 7.9% from September 2014 when 151 homes sold in the Lake Norman area.
The average sales price increased 16.4% from $441,503 in August to $513,998 in September. The September 2015 average sales price increased 6% from the September 2014 average sales price which was $484,973.
Average days on the market increased 3.8% from 78 days on the market in August to 81 days on the market in September. September 2014 average days on the market were 90, a 10% decrease in market time.
Currently there are 926 homes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, down 1.3% from September. The average list price is $728,886 down 2.3% from the September average list price of $746,123. The average days on the market are 197. 241 Lake Norman homes are currently under contract, down 1.6% from September.

Lake Norman Condos & Townhomes
In September 2015 40 condos/townhomes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 21.2% increase from the 33 condos or townhomes sold in August 2015. September 2015 sales figures increased 33.3% from September 2014 when 30 Lake Norman condos sold.
The average sales price increased .6% from $211,819 in August 2015 to $213,166 in September 2015. The September 2015 average sales price increased 8.4% from the September 2014 average sales price which was $196,592.
Average days on the market decreased 3.3% from 60 in August to 58 in September. September 2014 average days on the market were 91, a 36.3% decrease in market time.
Currently there are 123 condo/townhomes for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, a .8% increase from the 122 condos for sale in September. The average list price is $239,645, down 2.3% from September’s average list price of $245,240. The average days on the market are 101. 40 Lake Norman condos/townhomes are currently under contract, a 0% increase from September.

Lake Norman Lots
In September 2015 22 lots sold in the Lake Norman area, a 27.3% increase from the 16 lots sold in August. September 2015 sales figures increased 29.4% from September 2014 when 17 Lake Norman lots sold.
The average sales price increased 50.6% from $201,400 in August to $303,268 in September. The September 2015 average sales price increased 192% from the September 2014 average sales price which was $103,821.
Average days on the market decreased 41.5% from 260 in August to 152 in September. The September 2014 average days on the market were 177, a 14.1% decrease in market time versus the same time period last year.
Currently there are 725 lots for sale in the Lake Norman MLS area, a decrease of 3.3% from September. The average list price is $247,096, down .7% from September’s average list price of $248,926. The average days on the market are 486. 56 Lake Norman area lots are currently under contract, a 13.8% decrease from September.
