In December 2017 30 waterfront homes sold in the Lake Norman area, a 21% decrease from the 38 Lake Norman waterfront homes sold in November 2017. December 2017 Lake Norman waterfront home sales figures decreased 14.3% from December 2016 when 35 Lake Norman waterfront homes sold.

The average sales price decreased 5.1% from $960,854 in November to $912,328 in December. The December 2017 average sales price increased 4.5% from the December 2016 average sales price which was $872,739.

Average days on the market decreased from 100 in November to 128 in December, a 28% increase in market time. The December 2016 average days on the market were 164, a 22% decrease in market time.

Currently there are 244 active Lake Norman waterfront homes listed in the MLS with 66 also under contract, down 8.3% from December. The average list price is $1,300,613 up 1.3% from December. The lowest priced active Lake Norman waterfront home is listed at $185,000 and the highest priced Lake Norman waterfront home is listed at $7,745,000.
